Math - Measurement

This week we are beginning our measurement unit. Students will learn about using a length unit to measure length of objects and this is also the unit where students learn to tell time (to the hour and half hour) on digital and analog clocks.

Essential Questions:
- Why do we measure?
- What is important when we measure?

After this unit, students should be able to:

order three objects by length

compare the lengths of two objects indirectly by using a third object.

express the length of an object as a whole number of length units

tell and write time in hours and half hours
